The Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Writers Conference of the Southwest
4th Annual Writers Conference
July 18-20, 2008-Grapevine, Texas

A forum for journalists, writers, readers, students, educators and the general public to listen to, be inspired by and discuss literary nonfiction in all its forms with some of the most talented in the genre. $12,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the top six article/essay submissions and a $3,000 cash prize and book contract with UNT Press for the winning manuscript submission. Call for papers: American Journal of Media Psychology
Special Issue: Measuring Individuals’ Cognitive Structures in a Mediated Context

Researchers with interests in such areas as cognitive processing, social cognition, social perception, schema research, and framing within the context of media, are invited to submit papers to the American Journal of Media Psychology for a special issue that focuses on methodological approaches that detail the procedures by which cognitive components and structures are identified and measured in such fields as advertising, marketing, political communications, and related areas.
