Kathy McKee Named Editor
of Journalism & Communication Monographs

The AEJMC Board of Directors announces the appointment of Kathy McKee of Berry College as the new editor of Journalism & Communication Monographs.

McKee will serve a three-year term from Oct. 1, 2008, to Sept. 30, 2011.

McKee is interim provost and dean of academic services, and professor of Communication at Berry College in Mount Berry, GA. She has been a faculty member at Berry since 1986. She received her doctorate in mass communication from the University of Georgia.

McKee served in a variety of positions with the AEJMC Mass Communication & Society Division, including head, vice head, research chair, teaching chair, and chair of the Trayes Award Selection Committee. She serves on the editorial board of Mass Communication & Society and has reviewed for the Journal of Advertising and Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic Media. She is co-author of two books, Media Ethics: Cases & Moral Reasoning (Allyn Bacon Longman, 2005) and Applied Public Relations: Cases in Stakeholder Relations (Erlbaum, 2005).

With the appointment of McKee as editor of J&C Monographs, the AEJMC Publications Committee has also approved a shift in the mission for the journal. All materials submitted to the journal after March 1, 2008, will fall under this new mission.
