AEJMC Journals

The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication is well-known for its excellent publications, varying in content from in-depth research and book reviews to communication news and personal items.

AEJMC publishes three scholarly journals: Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly; Journalism & Mass Communication Educator; Journalism & Communication Monographs; AEJMC News, the association newsletter and the Journalism & Mass Communication Directory, a directory of schools and Association members.


	Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly focuses on research in journalism and mass communication. Each issue features reports of original investigation, presenting the latest developments in theory and methodology of communication, international communication, journalism history, and social and legal problems. Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly also contains book reviews. Refereed. Published four times a year.

	Journalism & Mass Communication Educator addresses itself to the professional needs of the journalism and mass communication educator and administrator on both secondary and collegiate levels. Articles on teaching techniques, new courses and technology help promote excellence in the classroom. Statistical information on student enrollments and career interests, trends in curriculum design, surveys and opinion polls are featured. Refereed. Published four times a year.

	Journalism & Communication Monographs presents in-depth research on specific topics within journalism and mass communication. The mission of the journal is to provide a venue for scholarly works, particularly those that provide a critical or applied synthesis of significant scholarship. Works especially are encouraged that speak to the broader field of journalism and mass communication, seeking to establish the Monographs as a readily available resource for understanding and advancing theory, methodology and/or practice. Refereed. Published four times a year.
