If so, enter it in Teaching News Terrifically in the 21st Century, the teaching-ideas competition sponsored by the Newspaper and Online News Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.   • 2014 Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Outstanding Woman Junior Scholar Award [4]
    The Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Center for the Advancement of Women in Communication at Florida International University, in conjunction with the Commission on the Status of Women of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, announce a new award to be presented annually: the Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Outstanding Woman Junior Scholar Award. Nominations are now being taken for a new award honoring a woman junior scholar who demonstrates outstanding research and great potential for future scholarship. Nominations due by June 1, 2014.   • Barrow Minority Doctoral Student Scholarship Applicants Sought [6]
    Applications are now being accepted for the 2014 Barrow Minority Doctoral Student Scholarship. The scholarship includes a $2,000 award and a free one-year membership in the Communication Theory and Methodology Division (CT&M) of AEJMC. The scholarship will be awarded at the 2014 AEJMC Conference in Montreal, August 6-9. Submissions must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2014. See Complete Call. [6]
