The Department of Media Arts seeks applicants for a faculty position (9-month) to teach all levels of undergraduate digital television and cinema production courses, particularly courses in multi-camera studio production and field production. Successful candidates will have diverse television and cinema production skills, expertise in multiple genres, and experience in networking with industry partners.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.F.A. in film, television, media studies, communication, or in a closely related field; an ABD in these fields may be considered; multi-camera television production experience; demonstrated record of development, production and distribution of digital television and/or cinema; demonstrated creative and/or research agenda in television and/or cinema; knowledge of contemporary creative and digital editing software and ability to teach FCP X; strong commitment to teaching; online media production and program distribution experience desirable; ability to teach advanced multi-camera studio production and television history desirable; three years or more of university teaching experience and professional television production experience desirable.
