Journalism – Tenure Track Faculty Position

Tenure-track position in a bachelor’s degree program in journalism and communication for online media and an associate of arts degree program in journalism studies. Instructional responsibilities may include teaching in course areas such as introduction to mass communication, desktop publishing; public relations; photography; news writing; online writing and production; internship and capstone courses; production labs in print and digital journalism; and other related courses. This person will have primary responsibility for overseeing the student newspaper in both print and online versions.

A master’s degree in journalism, mass communication or a closely related field at time of appointment is required. Experience in multimedia production as related to print and online journalism is required. Work experience in journalism is strongly desired. Knowledge of Associated Press style, global communication, current technologies in print and online journalism, and teaching experience at the college level are all preferred.
