ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PUBLIC RELATIONS

POSITION SUMMARY. The Loras College Public Relations Program announces a full time, tenure-track position available in the Division of Communication & Fine Arts to begin August 2018. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the Public Relations major, and the general education curriculum, as well as provide service to the Program and Division. Possible courses include Principles of PR, PR Writing, Desktop Publishing, Social Media, Organizational Communication, Introduction to Mass Communication, PR Case Studies, Communication Research, and Public Speaking. Opportunities exist teach travel courses, experiential learning-based courses and courses in one’s area of expertise. Industry experience is not required, but welcome. Ph.D. degree in Communication discipline (or ABD at time of appointment). Compensation commensurate with qualifications, education and experience.
