Assistant Dean
School of Communication and the Arts

The School of Communication and the Arts seeks an Assistant Dean to facilitate School efforts in service to and instruction of all undergraduate and graduate students. These support responsibilities include assisting with special project management, assessment, student issues and advising, and co-curricular initiatives. The assistant dean is a term, 12-month appointment.

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of faculty, students, administration and alumni. Understanding of the academic programming needs regionally, nationally and internationally. Knowledge of current practices and trends in undergraduate education. Ability to handle sensitive issues in a professional and discreet manner. Terminal degree in a discipline represented with the School of Communication and the Arts preferred. Administrative experience preferred.
