Faculty Position in Journalism

The Doha Institute’s newly launched Journalism Program invites applications for an open-rank faculty position in Journalism. The Doha Institute is a new independent institution for graduate education and research the Social Sciences, Humanities, Public Administration and Development Economics. The Institute offers internationally competitive salaries and benefits based on rank and experience, and the opportunity of promotion across ranks, subject to performance.

The ideal candidate for the Journalism faculty position will have an undergraduate or graduate degree in Journalism and proven professional experience as a multiplatform journalist. Knowledge of Arabic and prior teaching experience are preferred, but not required.

Our new Journalism faculty member will be expected to teach a variety of Journalism courses, including news reporting and writing, digital journalism, investigative journalism, multimedia storytelling and writing for new media.

The appointment is to commence September 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.
