CALL FOR NOMINATIONS:
2025 TEACHING AWARDS

Nomination Deadlines:
December 13, 2024 or March 28, 2025

The Advertising Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication invites nominations for two awards opportunities to recognize outstanding advertising educators: 

  1. The 2025 Early Career Teaching Excellence Award (first-round nominations are due December 13, 2024)
     
  2. The 2025 Distinguished Teaching Award (nominations are due March 28, 2025)

Both awards recognize individual excellence in undergraduate teaching. All nominees must be current members of the AEJMC Advertising Division. The award recipient will receive a $500 prize and will be recognized at the Advertising Division's business meeting during the 2025 AEJMC annual conference in San Francisco, CA.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS:
2025 WMSF GRADUATE RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP


Submission Deadline: 
May 30, 2025

The Advertising Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication welcomes applications for the WMSF (Washington Media Scholars Foundation) Graduate Research Scholarship! The submission deadline is Friday, May 30, 2025. 

This $500-$1,000 scholarship supports graduate student research in the field of advertising, with a focus on projects that have the potential to be published in an academic journal. Funding may be used for thesis or dissertation research, though it is not limited to those projects.

Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate program at the time of the award and be members of the AEJMC Advertising Division at the time of submission.

JOURNAL OF ADVERTISING EDUCATION


Submission Deadline: August 1, 2025

The Journal of Advertising Education is accepting manuscripts for a special issue on Media Planning and the Washington Media Scholars Foundation (WMSF) Case Competition. This issue highlights the importance of integrating media planning education and the WMSF Case Competition into advertising curricula.
