The Job Hub will return for AEJMC’s 2026 Conference in New Orleans, August 5–8. This valuable service connects employers and job seekers in journalism and mass communication education, providing a structured space to network, share opportunities, and schedule interviews during the conference.
For Candidates
The Job Hub helps connect job seekers with employers offering positions in journalism and mass communication education. Registered candidates gain access to a private listing of participating employers’ job openings.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be a current AEJMC member
- Must be registered for the 2026 AEJMC Conference
- Email your resume as a PDF (only) between April 15 and May 25, 2026
- Send resumes to kyshia@aejmc.org with “AEJMC Job Hub 2026 Candidates” in the subject line
- This is a free service for registered conference attendees
Important Notes
- Do not wait for paper acceptance to submit your resume. If you later decide not to attend, you may request removal. Waiting may cause you to miss the deadline.
- There will be no onsite Job Hub sign-up during the conference. Late resumes will not be accepted.
- Do not submit support materials with your resume; these may be provided to employers upon request.
- Job listings will begin appearing after June 1 as employers submit openings.

Employers
The Job Hub provides participating schools and employers with access to a private database of qualified candidates seeking positions in journalism and mass communication education. Employers may also post open positions for candidates to review prior to the conference.
Interviews should be scheduled directly with registered candidates and held at mutually agreed-upon locations during conference week. A limited number of interview rooms will be available at the conference hotel in short time blocks. Scheduling details will be emailed to participating employers.
Employer Details
- Rates: $250 for the first position; $150 for each additional position
- Positions must be submitted between June 1 and July 15
- Ads must be prepaid with a valid credit card through the ad submission portal
- Upload job ads beginning June 1 [Upload link coming soon.]
- Submit ads as Word documents and include:
- Department website URL
- School/department logo (JPG or PNG format)
- A confirmation email will be sent once the ad is posted, with instructions for accessing candidate resumes
- Interview room block schedules will be emailed after July 20
