Visiting Professors in Social Media Program

  • David Burns, Salisbury University, who will be working with Scripps Washington Bureau in Washington, DC.
  • Dave Davies,University of Southern Mississippi, who will be working with KNXV in Phoenix, AZ.
  • Kim Fox,American University in Cairo, who will be working with WCPO and wcpo.com in Cincinnati, OH.
  • Jack Glascock, Illinois State University, who will be working with The Post and Courier in Charleston, SC.
  • Miao Guo, Ball State University, who will be working with C-SPAN in Washington, DC.
  • Laveda Peterlin,University of St. Mary, who will be working with WEWS in Cleveland, OH.

  • Mary Liz Brooks, West Texas A&M University, will be working with Scripps Corporate Headquarters in Cincinnati, OH.
  • Dean Cummings, Georgia Southern University, will be working with WPTV in West Palm Beach, FL.

Visiting Professors in Social Media Program

  • Brian Carroll, Berry College, will be working with WCPO TV and wcpo.com in Cincinnati, OH. Brian is professor of communication at Berry and chair of its Department of Communication.
  • Tom German, Muskingum University, will be working with the Scripps Washington Bureau in Washington, DC. Tom is a media scholar and practitioner from New Concord, OH.
  • Joe Glennon, Temple University, will be working with DigitasLBi Chicago in Chicago, IL. Joe is an assistant professor of instruction in Temple’s Department of Advertising.
  • Tracy Simmons, Gonzaga University, will be working with C-SPAN in Washington, DC. Tracy teaches journalism at Gonzaga and has her B.S. and M.A. from Eastern New Mexico University.
  • Elizabeth Stoycheff, Wayne State University, will be working with The Post and Courier in Charleston, SC. Elizabeth is an assistant professor at Wayne State, teaching courses in journalism, quantitative methods and media effects.
  • Yong Tang, Western Illinois University, will be working with KNXV TV in Phoenix, AZ. Yong is director of Western Illinois’ Journalism Program and assistant professor of journalism and media law.

  • Shanshan Lou, Appalachian State University, will be working with Scripps Corporate Headquarters in Cincinnati, OH. Shanshan is assistant professor in Appalachian State’s Department of Communication.
