Visiting Scholar in Communication
The University of Miami’s School of Communication is seeking applications for a one-year appointment a Visiting Scholar in Communication at the Visiting Assistant Professor rank beginning Fall 2025. This position will begin August 15, 2025, and terminate May 15, 2026 (9-month). This position requires a Ph.D. degree in communication or a related field.
The position entails teaching four courses and service on behalf of the School of Communication in the 2025-2026 academic year. The position entails teaching two courses during a semester, across journalism and cinema arts programs. The courses may be at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Potential subjects might include visual storytelling, documentary photography and production, news writing, audio and video production, or qualitative research methods.
