Full-Time Lecturer in Communication and Information Technology

The University of Vermont (UVM) invites applicants for a full-time, renewable, non-tenure track Lecturer position within the Department of Community Development and Applied Economics (CDAE). This is a 9-month position expected to start in the fall of 2017.

This position provides support and instruction to all first-year students entering the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). We are seeking a lecturer to teach the foundational courses covering the topics of public speaking, information technology, and acclimation to college life. In addition, the successful candidate will advise CDAE undergraduate students, train teaching assistants and teach CDAE courses such as strategic writing, social media and socially responsible marketing.

Individuals with a PhD by the start date of the position are invited to apply. Teaching experience is expected. Candidate should demonstrate a commitment to quality teaching and advising. Mindfulness of diversity and inclusion is required. Successful candidates must have the desire to work in a transdisciplinary environment.
