The Kent State University School Journalism and Mass Communication seeks a senior faculty member with a record of outstanding research to help lead our graduate program. Candidates should be senior-level scholars (Ph.D. required) with prominence in a field related to journalism, advertising, public relations and/or electronic media, evidenced by a record of outstanding research in their area of expertise. Preference will be given to those with expertise in quantitative research or whose research focuses on topics relating to mass media diversity, environmental journalism, scholastic journalism or youth media.

Kent State University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication is ACEJMC-accredited and offers a diverse population of more than 1,250 students undergraduate degrees in journalism, visual journalism, advertising, public relations and electronic media and graduate degrees in media management, public relations and reporting and editing, including a specialization in scholastic journalism education.
