The Department of Communication at Eastern Kentucky University is seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty position in public relations beginning August 2013. Rank (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor) will depend on successful candidate’s qualifications. The successful candidate will teach a four-three course load in the public relations area and will join a dynamic faculty committed to an innovative undergraduate degree program. We seek individuals with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, ongoing academic research and visionary program building. Candidates should have considerable professional experience in public relations practice and research, strong ties to the professional community, and demonstrated teaching ability in a variety of public relations, communication and related courses. Candidates must also display a consistent and strong record of scholarship in public relations or a related field commensurate with appointment rank. A Ph.D., in a relevant field, is required from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution. ABD may be considered. The EKU public relations program is certified by the Public Relations Society of America.
