Assistant Professor in Public Relations/Social Media

University of Houston Clear Lake invites applications for the position of tenure-track assistant professor in public relations and social media beginning August 2013.

The position requires a terminal degree in communication, marketing or a related discipline. The successful candidate must be able to teach courses in integrated marketing communication, public relations writing and social media use in our graduate program in Digital Media Studies and undergraduate program in Communication. The ability to teach research methods would also be an asset.

UHCL is an upper-level university (juniors, seniors and graduate students) adjacent to NASA-Johnson Space Center. Located in the Clear Lake recreational area, the nation’s third largest boating community, the campus is 30 minutes from downtown Houston and Galveston beach.
